54th Annual Garrett County Agricultural Fair

2010 TENTATIVE Schedule of Events

NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS EXCEPT AS A CONTESTANT IN THE PET SHOW OR DOG OBEDIENCE OR USED AS DOGS TO SUPPORT HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS.

Antique tractors and equipment will be on display throughout the week. Antique tractors and equipment which are going to be in the parade will need to be registered at the Fair Office BEFORE 2 pm on Wednesday, August 11, 2010.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 7, 2010

• 10:00 am-6:00 pm Entering ALL Indoor Exhibits – Report to 4-H Stage for exhibit numbers (Rabbits and Poultry MUST be entered)
• 11:00 am
• Regular and Hot Stock Tractor Pull (Light Weights) – at the race track
• Noon
• ALL Commercial Exhibits must be in place
• 5:00 pm
• Regular and Hot Stock Tractor Pull (Heavy Weights) – at the race track

SUNDAY, AUGUST 8, 2010
Judging of ALL Indoor Exhibits – ALL BARNS CLOSED TO FOOT TRAFFIC ALL DAY

• 9:00 am-4:00 pm
• Entering of ALL animals including horses. ALL MARKET Animals must be on grounds by 4:00 pm for weighing. DAIRY must be on the grounds by NOON MONDAY.
• 1:00 pm
• Judging ALL Indoor Exhibits, Rabbits and Poultry
• Horse Pull
• Interdenominational Vesper Service
• Crowning of “Miss Garrett County Farm Queen”

MONDAY, AUGUST 9, 2010

• Exhibit Barns open 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
• Gambill Amusements will open beginning MONDAY NIGHT 6:30-11:00 pm for their 28th year at the Garrett County Fair
• 4-H Fashion Review
• Cow Patty Bingo -
• MUD BOG – presented by Fullerton Productions at the race track
• The Stickers – Music

TUESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2010

• Exhibit Barns open 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
• Senior Citizen’s Day – FREE admission with proof of age – 60 & up – until 5 pm. Seniors ride free until 5:00 pm
• Gambill Amusements open 1:00-5:00 pm and 6:30-11:00 pm
• 10:00 am -1:00 pm
• Senior Citizen’s Activity
• 4:30pm Still Kickin Cloggers
• Lumberjack Shows throughout the day
• Fast Action Motor Sports – Car Simulator

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2010

• Gambill Amusements open 1:00-5:00 pm and 6:30-11:00 pm
• Lawn Tractor Pull – Boley’s Bully Sled Rentals – at the race track
• Baby Crawl

• Pet Show
• Antique Tractor Show
• Pedal Tractor Pull – Boley’s Bully Sled Rentals
• Fast Action Motor Sports – Car Simulator
• Local Stock and Modified Truck and Tractor Pull
• Farmer’s Parade – Pre register by NOON WEDNESDAY August 12

FRIDAY, AUGUST 13, 2010

• Costume Animal Parade – at the show ring

• The Davisson Brothers – Music
• Modified Tractor and Smokers – Managed by East Coast Pullers

SATURDAY, AUGUST 14, 2010

• Exhibit Barns open 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
• Gambill Amusements open 1:00-5:00 pm and 6:30-11:00 pm
• LIVESTOCK EXHIBIT MAY BE REMOVED AFTER 11:00 P.M. OR SUNDAY
• 4-H/Adult Dog Obedience at the show ring
• Wood Cutting Contest
• Dirty Pony Contest
• 5:00 pm
• 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale – at the show ring
• 5:00 & 7:30 pm
• 4 & 8 cylinder Demolition Derby
